The Future is Female!

Somewhere in every family, a WOMAN is the backbone! Every person on this earth came from the magical womb of a woman! Did you know that the most educated subset of people in the USA are black women? Being a woman and a black woman, I know that I am extremely special! I strongly believe that the Future is Female and I take that seriously! We as women have so much power and I am forever proud to be a part of the female club! 

When you think of powerful people, a woman is going to come to mind. I know that when I think of powerful people, one of the first people that immediately pops into my mind is Oprah! Next is Michelle Obama and even though I LOATHE her, Kim Kardashian. These women and so many others are all BOSSES! Not LADY BOSSES or GIRL BOSSES! Just BOSSES! Even though I use the hashtag of "ladyboss" I do not like that term. Why can't we as women be called "bosses?" You don't say a man is a "manboss" or a "boyboss." Why is it that a woman who is a boss in her own might have to be specified? Women own more than 11.6 MILLION businesses here in the USA and 5.4 million of those are owned by black women! We employ over 9 MILLION people and generate over 1.7 TRILLON in revenue! That sounds pretty BOSS to me!

As a woman who is a wife, mom, entrepreneur and working a 9-5 job, I can tell you that not only are we powerful but we are born multitaskers! It can be hard, stressful and we can be extremely unappreciated. I want to let you all know that even though it doesn't get said enough, YOU ARE APPRECIATED! YOU MATTER! Don't worry about what the next mom is doing. Don't worry about the woman who seems to have her business all figured out and living her "best life" on social media. Don't worry about looking put together ALL the time when you are out with your kids. Don't worry about those stretch marks. Don't worry about the two things on your list of thirty-seven that you were not able to accomplish today! Don't worry about your muffin top or spare tire or whatever it is called, wear the crop top if you want to sis! You DESERVE to take a day for a mani-pedi or a nice glass of wine while you shop online! We tend to forget about ourselves and that in order to give the world our BEST us, self care is a necessity! 

In my next post, I want to share more of my story with you. I want to share what I have been through so you can see that no matter what, there is light at the end of the tunnel. You may feel like the only one who is going through ABC and D but believe me there is another woman out there thinking that she alone as well!
